We, at Bright Lights Rep are dedicated to sharing the joy and excitement of performance and the incredible life skills that come with it!

We believe that acting should be fun - and that it's at it's best when it is! - and that technique and experience only add to the wonder of learning to act.

We understand the importance of physical, vocal and emotional control and how to teach this vital skills. We understand the necessity of challenge whist building confidence and social skills. We understand the need to perform learnt pieces from practice as well as to know how to act authentically and spontaneously.

And ultimately, we understand the importance of play!

Meet the Team

Lauren Mercier

Lauren hails all the way from California and has a BFA in Acting from UCSB. She has worked with kids for over 10 years and was formerly a preschool teacher here in Prague. She loves kids and loves acting. She still works as a professional actress here in Prague, appearing in tv, theater, and commercials. She also current works as a casting coordinator.

Jim High

Jim is a professional actor from the Isle of Wight in the UK. He founded and manages Blood, Love & Rhetoric Theatre, Comedy and Acting Classes. He has appeared in and directed 100’s of plays and comedy shows and has nearly 70 major film and television credits to his name. He has been teaching improv and acting for 10 years and led 100’s of students through fun and exciting courses.
